The Dark Forest is a 5-day virtual course for 9-12 year olds, that teaches them how to write a fantasy story from scratch. Through a series of engaging and interactive activities, the children explore the features and tropes of the genre of fantasy fiction, and learn the structure of a short story.

  • Explore the features of fantasy fiction.

  • Learn how to write a short story from scratch.

  • Get the unique opportunity to create his own fictional world, complete with fantastical characters, a believable fictional language, and a magic system.

  • Develop their problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Boost his vocabulary and reduce errors in writing.

  • Unleash his creativity, develop problem solving skills and think out of the box.
