Pong and the Thief- Rehanshi’s Story

Welcome to our series featuring stories written by students in our Common Room classes. Our course instructors provide feedback at every stage of the writing process, ensuring it’s suitable for their age.

We value and celebrate each child’s unique writing style, ensuring minimal edits to their stories to preserve and showcase their creativity. Here’s a story written by Rehanshi from Miss Shikha’s class. We’d love to hear your thoughts—do share your appreciation in the comments!

Pong was a very sweet and beautiful girl. She lived in Toronto, Canada, with her parents, grandparents and younger sister.

Her bedroom had light blue coloured walls. On the wall, beside the bed, there was a huge window. One day, when Pong was sleeping in the afternoon, she heard footsteps and saw a shadow from the corner of her tingling sleepy eyes. She talked to herself, “The curtains are also moving and I even saw a person jumping out of my window!”

She shouted, “Mumma! Mumma! Mumma!” Her mother came rushing in and she told her the whole story. Instantly, her mother called the police. The police did not answer. They went behind the thief. After some time, Pong caught his bag. Pong shouted, “I caught his bag mom, you catch the theif.”

Her mom was chasing the thief. But… she could not catch the thief. Since they got his bag, they opened it. Pong shouted, “Mom, I got his office ID card.” Mother said, “Good, I’m calling the police”.

The police came and after two days, the police caught the thief and arrested him.
