The Camping Trip is a live online workshop that introduces the essential skill of descriptive writing to young learners. Designed specifically for early readers who have just started scribbling their thoughts down, this fantastically fun 60- minute workshop will help them think, explore their writing style and unleash their creativity.

In this workshop, your child will:

Be introduced to the four main principles of descriptive writing.

Explore camping- themed vocabulary.

Write two descriptive passages by himself, applying the key vocabulary and principles introduced.

Receive personalised feedback from the trainer during the workshop, for the descriptive passages he writes.
By the end of the workshop, your child will also receive a downloadable worksheet that contains a capsule-sized summary of what he learned in class, along with an optional at-home practice task.

Workshop outcome:
60 minutes is a really short amount of time for children to show noticeable improvement in their writing skills. However, owing to the interactive, student- centred nature of the workshop, your child will form an awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of his own writing. With the help of the principles introduced, and the trainer’s personalised feedback, he will be encouraged to write better descriptions.
